DESCRIPTION: In general, the project consists of an addition and remodel to the existing Shell Lake Arts Center Building on 802 1st St, in Shell Lake, WI. The project will include a 4,357GSF addition and remodeling of their existing kitchen, restrooms, and other related areas. The project is slated to kick off 8/18/25 and be wrapped up in February of 2026. The project includes but is not limited to: Concrete reinforcing, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, decorative railings, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, waterproofing, foamed in place insulation, weather barriers, metal wall panels, membrane roofing, firestopping, joint sealants, doors/frames/hardware, coiling doors, curtain walls, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, tiling, ceilings, flooring, terrazzo, painting, signage, flag poles, toilet compartments, toilet accessories, fire protection specialties, food service equipment, window treatments, elevators, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, earthwork, utilities, asphalt paving, concrete paving, curb and gutter, and retaining walls.
The Owner is considered a tax-exempt entity, therefore WI. Stat. 77.54(9m) will be utilized on this project.
A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held A pre-bid meeting will be held at Shell Lake Arts Center on Wednesday June 18, at 2:30 p.m. Meet in the board room. It is across from the kitchen, connected to the cafeteria and one of the rooms that will be demolished. Contractors will come into the main doors and turn right at the end of the ramp, or you can come in the west doors of the south wall and enter the cafeteria.
Sealed bids for the above project will be received, on behalf of the Owner, by the Owner and/or General Contractor/Construction Manager Market & Johnson at the location noted in the bid documents. All bids must be submitted on the Bid Form supplied and accompanied with Bid Security (if required) in accordance to the Work Categories outlined in the bid documents. Bids may be sent via email (in .pdf format to bidding@market-johnson.com) or via facsimile to 715-834-2331. Bids will be opened privately.
